Howard Zinn was one of the few Americans who, like me, was appalled at the US's response to 9/11 from Sep 12 onwards. It was one of those moments, like the Gulf War in 1991, when I felt nearly completely out of touch with my fellow Americans. It's a lonely feeling.
So thanks for speaking out, Howard. I wish there were more like you.
